Tony Merrill

Tony Merrill became a Firefighter for the Des Moines Fire Department in 1991.  In 2005 he was promoted to Captain and assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau.

Tony is married and has one daughter.Tony is active in his church, also helping there with a puppet ministry.  Outside of family and church, Tony is a musician, enjoys singing, fishing, golf, camping and boating.

Tony has worked with the LAFS program since 2005.  He’s been a real asset in the “technical” side of our programming.  Tony works well with the puppets or out front helping Sparky.
